Do all quiz and test have an option for correction?

Every quiz has an option for quiz corrections. Only the unit tests don't have that option, and unit tests usually occur after three quizzes.

Mr. Bugbee when are we going to have the unit test, and also is the brown sheet you gave us like a study guide for the test?

Hey Kassidy. We had another day of review, with another review worksheet. We are having a unit test tomorrow. If you don't feel up for taking it tomorrow, I can give you another day. The test will be similar to both study guides/Review worksheets from this week. I will post the worksheet you missed today with answers. You can also have a notecard with notes on it for the test.

Hello, Mr.Bugbee I was wondering if you could post the answers for the probability worksheet #2 because I wanna make sure that I did it right so on the test I wouldn't do the specific problem wrong. I also have an other question could there be test corrections because last time you didn't provide test corrections? Also can we use calculators to find the percent and decimal?

Hey. Unfortunately I did not take the worksheet home. Come to my classroom before class to ask questions. We corrected the front side during class, which has most of the stuff that you need to know for the test. Quiz corrections will be available, and calculators will be available. Make sure to review homework from page 80, 81, and 82.

Oh okay, Thank you for the help Mr.Bugbee because I am still studying and im studying everything just to make sure that that I wont miss a problem just because I didn't take the time to look over it my brother helped me on some problems, but you assigned us homework a couple of days ago dont remember when exactly but it was page 80 problems 1-9, are any questions going to be similar to that on the test because I am not sure if there will be? But I am still taking a look over it. Hopefully I will Ace the test.<3 Thank you for your help once again... and Happy early Thanksgiving to you Mr.Bugbee!!!

Mr. Bugbee

Eddie is having problems with questions 3,4,5,and 6 for tonights homework. He is saying that he cannot make a histogram because the word problem did not provide an interval. My suggestion is to use 50,60,70,80,90,100 as intervals. Do you have any suggestions?

Reply
Mr. Bugbee

That's a great suggestion. I left it up to them to create the intervals, and I let them know that in class. 50-59, 60-69, etc would work great as intervals.

When we fill ut the outcomes are we adding because it shows 13, for the row that shows 2 I got 7,9,10 and 12 also for the row that shows 5 I got 10,12,13,15 Will this be right? BTW I am talking about page 86... Thanks<3

That's perfect! The probability then of getting a 10 would be 2/8 because there are two outcomes that give you 10, out of 8 possible outcomes. The probability of getting a 7 is 1/8, because there is one outcome that gives you an 7, out of 8 possible outcomes.

On number on the homework are we actually supposed to make an outcome graph with all 1,800 sums?

Reply
Mr. Bugbee
12/3/2012 08:28:52 am

No. This is a tough question. The outcome grid that you would need would be for rolling two different dice. This outcome grid is similar to the one that we filled out at the end of our notes. Then, from that outcome grid, you need to predict what would happen if you threw two dice at the same time, and then repeated that 1800 times. For number 8, multiply the theoretical probability of getting a 9, by 1800 and then you'll find the answer. If you're still confused, don't worry, because I will go over it in class.

Also on #3d I got 57.5 for E I got 26 and on F I got 58.... Is this right??? I have a question on number 4 for page 87 is it like the problem that we did on the white boards where you explained the the class that the grid has a bigger number so on the top you would label cube then label 1 2 3 4 5 6 then on the side label spinner then 1 2 3 and 4 after that make an outcome of all the numbers o that each number would be like this is an example not the answers so the numbers well be labeled on the frid in order such as 41 or 42 ect... I hope you know what I mean Because that is what I remember doing durning class hopefully I am doing this right,Please Help!!!Thanks

It is like the problems from class. It looks like your on the track. Combine the numbers to make the largest two digit number. So if the spinner gets a 2 and the cube gets a 1, the number created is 21.

I wouldn't worry too much. I think I may put it in the grade for participation, but I may put it in as worth a point just so you can see how you did. No matter what it will hardly effect your grade.

Its hard for me to explain exactly how to do these problems through typing. The answers to those questions if you want to check are -1 for #19, -4 for #20, and 12 for #21. There are many ways to solve them. For 19 one way I showed during class is that you can rewrite it as an addition problem, which would be 22 + -23. Then you start at 22 on the number line and count 23 spaces to the left (because you are adding a -23) until you get to -1. I'll try to explain more during class.
